Of laws and families.

Today started off like most other days, when I woke up from Jen's apartment. I had class at nine o'clock this morning actually the first required classes at nine o'clock this morning, the first required class today eight o'clock in the morning was not required so I did not go. When I went to class in the morning, I went straight into the microbiology lab and looked at specimens on petri dishes. Was fairly easy I was paired up with Sarah, Mary, and Mike. It wasn't for greater anything like that, so I wasn't worried, but was still very fun to look at all the specimens; it reminded me of the lab we had at UCF’s microbiology lab.
After this we worked on our presentation for tomorrow which was going to be on vibrio cholera. We worked on it together as a group but I felt like I was very tired so I could not contribute much. It then went on to the next lecture which was not required but reminded me of what this class expected us to know. I was in the class pretty worried but at the same time pretty helpful I knew that I could get to where I needed to get to because this is, after all, my major. So I set out a list of goals for today, and I expect to follow them. We then had class at the nursing students from three o'clock to four o'clock where we had a social working teacher go over a case of a family who lived in one of the cities were reported to have our neighborhood health program. I never had to work on this about a couple days before it considered a giant waste of time, but now that I see us medical students working together with the nursing students as well as a Masters of social work professor, I feel like this actually was kind of worthwhile because with our combined efforts we can help families in our neighborhood and make a huge impact in our community.

I guess this goes back to the whole idea of my dream changing the world in one way or another for good or bad. Although helping the community is not something I really had in mind, it definitely is a good place to start. If I'm going to find ways to change the world through greater means, I may as well learn how to change the world of some people on a smaller scale.

After this whole class with the interprofessional development, I quickly went home and changed into my suits as well put on my new FIU pin so that I can be properly dressed to meet one of the supreme court justices of the United States, Mr. Solito. I was there from five o'clock to about eight o'clock. From five o'clock to about 630, the Supreme Court justice along with two other state-level Supreme Court justices presided over a mood's trial set up by the competitors at the FIU college of law. It is very interesting to see the judicial process or even to see how these law students came in and try to justify their arguments over case where the constitutionality of placing a GPS device on a person's car off affected or violated the fourth amendment or six amendment, I can't remember. Either way, the Supreme Court justice at the gathering world the food was after the moot trial, released the name of the winning competitor, to which the winner was very emotional and received his prize with pride and happiness. I invited Jennifer and common over to the reception own order to get free food. Jennifer came and was very happy to come, Kamen did not however, he went to the gym instead.
Non-home and it's about its nine o'clock spent about an hour trying to get this dragon thing to work. I had abuses in this this is the easier than typing. I guess it just takes some getting used to, maybe Dragon used to learn how my voice sounds, or maybe I'm just being too impatient. Either way I believe this is still a very useful tool, maybe with these journal entries, I can finally get around to using it very efficiently and someday writing journal entries like it's nobody's business.

Until then, Anna goes to Jennifer's house now and watch the videos that are required for tomorrow's quiz. I hope to also at least finish half a my goal today, today was a very busy day but I cannot let that get in the way of my goals any longer. Tomorrow morning I have a presentation to do, it is on vibrio cholera as I said before at the beginning of this journal entry. Our supervising professor cents on e-mail with a revised presentation, and it looks like we still have some work to do. I'll be assisting my fellow classmates in fixing this presentation, and practicing with them in the morning so I do not have to worry about presenting the second presentation in the future. I also have to remember to move my Jackson North Hospital rotation for the ER from tomorrow to next week. There's many things to do every day, sometimes it can be overwhelming. But in the end it's all worth it; we are all given a job and with that job comes a lots of responsibility.

Return, with a vengeance

Today I finally got Dragon installed onto my computer. By having this software I hope to write my journal more because lately although I wanted to start a journal for and keep track of it at the time at school I feel as though I did not have enough time to sit down to write about my whole day by typing.

So with this new program I hope to speed up the process of writing by just speaking directly to the computer haven't written down and seems like this is actually going to work pretty well.

So today this all day I've been studying and not only just studying but also doing other work. For this new microbiology class with have class from eight in the morning until noon every day but it just so happens that the two classes in the morning mandatory and neither are they helpful in my opinion. The Michigan from classic and applicant review books which I've been studying lately. Although I think this study books of the best way to go, I feel like is so my study methods using these review books have been quite slow. I think the key to studying this would be to read first then make it repeat and repeat on paper. I'm doing that now seems working a little better and even speeds up the process a little bit.

I met Jennifer's apartment right now before I was at an art gallery exposition at Frost Museum earlier today. Also there was a private event hosted by the Baptist health hospital system where only a distinguished medical faculty as well as medical students can go. Jennifer and I were lucky to meet some of the faculty and the doctors there and make some important contacts.

It was fun there was a lot of third, and there also celebrate the Chinese new year. We met a doctor named Dr. motive there, who wanted to express her new art gallery that she commissioned art students to work on. She explained every piece of art. Eloquently and try to get us to understand the meaning behind each one; it was quite fascinating.

I think I'll leave this entry as it is for now, while all have more time to talk later. It is currently 1216 in the morning as she could to bed soon, but for go to bed I have to finish studying. Every day I’m studying and, although times are hard, I really enjoy this.
